A hardy groundcover with variable habit and foliage colour – from silver-grey fine leaf forms to broad grey-green forms, all with clusters of bright yellow, tiny daisy-like flowers.

A very versatile and useful plant in an Australian garden. As a low growing border it is useful beside paths. It can cascade over rocks on a bank or from a potted container. Also a great addition to a native verge planting as it is low growing, hardy and low maintenance.

Prefers sandy, well-drained soils under full sun. Drought-tolerant once established. Deadhead flowers to prolong blooming. I am quite reckless when I chop this one back after flowering – just chop away what is not needed to keep it contained. You don’t need to fuss about it. It handles being sat on and also peed on by the dog! If anything it is neglect that suits it best, as it won’t be as happy if you coddle it and overwater it.
