A small, spreading shrub that suckers lightly, with soft pink flowers and delicate lobed green foliage. On first glance most people would not guess this beauty is native to Australia, as it has a traditional softness and prettiness that is more common in English style gardens. It is now rare in the wild but I have found it to be quite easy to grow and tolerant of a range of conditions.

A lovely choice for Australian native cottage garden borders or as a cheerful groundcover. It would also make a lovely potted plant as it flowers for most of the summer.

Thrives in well-drained soils in full sun to partial shade. I have had mixed results with flowering in the shade. I have it planted in a part shade position now and it looks happy but refuses to flower. But in my Sydney garden it flowered and spread quite happily in the same position. Drought-tolerant once established as it will sucker and self seed lightly, so it has a tendency to re-populate my itself without taking over. Prune lightly to encourage re-flowering and maintain a tidy habit.
