A vibrant, low-growing shrub with golden yellow to orange flowers and soft green foliage. This is a stunning variety of Lechenaultia and would look incredible planted next to Lechenaultia Big Blue!

I grow this in a hanging basket to enjoy many months of flowers in my temperate garden. But it can be short lived outside of it’s natural climate in Western Australia – so treat it like an annual and enjoy the abundant flowers while they last. Otherwise you might get a 2nd year out of it if you can provide a dry hot summer. I achieve this by having the hanging basket in a sunny north facing spot but protected from summer rains.

Excellent for borders, rockeries, or as a feature in pots and hanging baskets where it cascades beautiful over the side. It adds a warm pop of colour to native gardens.

Thrives in sandy, well-drained soils under full sun. When potting this one up I always add a generous amount of sand to the native potting mix. Even half sand, half potting mix with some perlite added to ensure good air flow and drainage. Water well in winter and keep dry in summer. Prune lightly to maintain a neat, compact shape and encourage profuse flowering.
